#121 Friday Fancy Fest

It's Friday! And it feels like Summery-Spring finally! It's the perfect weather- 80 degrees & sunny. I'm looking forward to the weekend. I can't wait to see The Great Gatsby.  Hopefully it does not disappoint. Even if it's a total bomb, at least it inspired some super fabulous deco fashion and design.  I love deco jewelry and it's everywhere right now fits all budgets and occasions.  I did a quick search on Bauble Bar and found a ton of great stuff: Bauble Bar 'Deco' Search Results.  And J.Crew has some investment pieces that are to die for. The tassel necklace is so timeless! I actually found some cute deco jewelry at Kohl's, too, that I've been wearing. Last but not least, there's vintage,which is the best, so run to your local antique store or flea market and check out the displays of costume jewelry.

#112 Spring Sparkle

Early springs make me happy!  I hardly had to wear a sweater this winter, so I will really not need to buy too many new ones next year. I keep telling myself this in hopes that I can save money and closet space but i'm not sure I'm fooling anyone but myself...


It's a little cooler today than it has been, so I figured I better wear my sequined sweatshirt while I still can.  Here's to wearing more sparkles & sequins to celebrate spring!

#91 Cozy Stripes

It's starting to feel a little nippy outside.  It mostly makes me just want to stay in bed all day and hope that fleece pants with hot pink polar bears on them will be the fashion trend of the season.  Probably not going to happen though.  I'm just now starting to remember how to layer and dress properly for leaving the house in fall weather.  Cozy oversized sweaters, drapey cardigans, leather jackets, cute hats and stripes, apparently, are the new staple of the season.

Since college I've been on the lookout for an orange and blue version like the Auburn cheerleaders wear, but they are harder to find than you'd think!

#90 Ahoy Monday!

It's very convenient that Halloween is approaching because I kind of wish this look was acceptable for everyday, but I'm pretty sure it would solicit more 'Aaarrrrrgh!!'s than I'm ready for.  The cool pirate's booty-ish necklace, however, could turn into my favorite necklace faster than you can say 'shiver me timbers!'

How can these dresses be so cute and the models so scary?!  I'm not sure I can tell which one is cuter of the two dresses or scarier of the two models...

Maybe the models are scary to make the dresses look even more adorably sweet in comparison?  Or they are threatening you that if you don't get the cute dress right now something bad will happen...still not sure...hmmm

#46 Shiny Office

I have a strong propensity for organizing.  I tend to organize spaces within an inch of their life...you can ask any of my roommates or family members.  The weird thing about it is that I actually get joy out of the process of organizing.  Give me a messy closet/pantry/desk, a couple of hours to get the job done, a trip to the Container Store, and I'm a happy camper.  I kinda wish my desk needed a cleansing & makeover right now, so I could go gold with all the accessories...hmmm, I think the gold scissors will def be mine very soon.

#41 Fancy Pants

It's funny how you can completely forget about cold weather after the first warm day hits.  It makes those spring cold snaps feel even worse.  And that's when you realize you have to find clothes that can work for cool & warmish weather.  It's also nice when you can wear them to work and go straight out to happy hour or a night out.  Oh, and what if they are comfortable too.  But how can it be possible, you ask,  that one outfit can do so much?!?!  I'm not sure that I've found a solution that works for everyone, but if you're down for wearing sequined leggings, I've got you covered...
